This trip was taken in the month of May for a taste of Austin, Texas and the surrounding area. We were based out of downtown Austin and devoured tacos, barbeque, and beer while attempting to burn at least some of it off by wandering and paddling through the city and its river. Being fans of Chip & Joanna Gains (HGTV’s Fixer Upper), we were delighted to visit their Magnolia compound and the Waco area. But why not also take a day trip down to San Antonio and explore its wonderful missions and riverwalk while we’re in the area? This trip was action-packed, but provided a great variety of experiences in the greater Austin, TX area!
