This was an 11-day trip in late-June / early-July exploring the English countryside, picturesque fishing villages, and larger cities of Liverpool, Bath, Weymouth, and London. We started from Heathrow and headed north through the countryside to the picturesque fishing town of Whitby for some of the best fish & chips in the country and to see the abbey that inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula. We then made our way west to the blue collar city of Liverpool where the Beatles called home and marveled at the honey-colored stone cottages within the tiny villages of the Cotwolds before finding ourselves in the beautiful, Roman-influenced city of Bath. The amazing coastline of Cornwall almost convinced us to pack up and move to this region of England, but we also enjoyed the beach town of Weymouth, chalky cliffs of the Seven Sisters, and tourist mecca of Stonehenge before diving into grand ole’ London. This trip had us devouring Bakewell tarts and Sunday roasts washed down with plenty of local cider, gin, and beer. "Stay left," drive a small vehicle, and good luck along the tiny roads that tunnel through the countryside!!
