During this 5-day jaunt through the Faroe Islands we explored its amazing cliffs, seascapes, and villages. From the Vágar Airport we drove through beautiful landscape and tunnels to Bordoy and experienced the surreal Kallur Lighthouse on the island of Kalsoy. From there we hiked to the peak of Slættaratindur and saw a few waterfalls on our way to Torshavn. After a night of wandering the capital’s turf-roofed old town, we headed back to Vágar to hike around Drangarnir and Sørvágsvatn while exploring Gasadalur and everything in between. The weather is unpredictable so having flexibility is key; the good news is it takes under three hours to drive the entire country from end-to-end! It was a short trip, but a big gulp of the islands that should quench your thirst for nature for a long while!
